Storage

All files / boxes, post indexing, are transferred in to the archive where upon they will be booked into the relevant bay / shelf. Due to the sheer scale of the archive Magnum pre gauge activity on the work coming in, which will help determine its storage location (For example, higher retrieval volumes will be stored on lower level shelving)

Sites and Security


Magnum would store your records at the closest purpose built Archive facility in comparison with your site. 
Magnum comprises of a 750 000 box capacity Archive & Conversion centre with conference facilities and designated reading/viewing rooms.

All Magnum centres incorporate the following security measures:

  • Access to all storage areas is only allowed under Magnum staff supervision
  • Swipe Card Access
  • CCTV
  • Security Fencing
  • Smoking is prohibited anywhere on site
  • Alarmed external doors
  • Steel roller shutter doors
  • Secure internal loading bays
  • Infra-red movement detectors within the building



For protection against fire the site has:

  • Smoke and heat detectors in all areas
  • Strategically placed fire extinguishers


All alarms and detectors are connected 24 hours to a central monitoring station, which is linked directly to the local emergency services.

Climate

The Archive is equipped with an environmental control system ensuring the correct temperature and humidity for record storage.
