Scanning

The scanning process is carried out using high volume Production Scanners that will automatically recognise double sided documents and scan to 400 dpi. Once the document has been scanned the image appears on a 22" monitor, which is situated next to the scanner, this is the first quality check that is carried out. Utilising VRS software, the scanned image will be de-skewed, cleaned, sharpened and the brightness and contrast levels adjusted all in real time.

Magnum utilise Bell & Howell Spectrum XF Production Scanners which are capable of:

  • 400 dpi optical capture
  • 7,500 pixel capture per line
  • 22,500 total pixel capture
  • 40 megapixel-per-second throughput
  • Up to 140 pages per minute (greyscale)
  • Up to 60,000 pages per day
  • Twain and Isis drivers
